Root canal treatment
Root canal treatment is available at Marsh Dental Care, Huddersfield, in cases where the tooth pulp has become infected through decay or injury.
If the pulp becomes infected, the infection may spread through the root canal system of the tooth, which can eventually lead to an abscess. If root canal therapy (RCT) is not carried out, the infection will spread and the tooth may need to be taken out.
Treatment involves the removal of the infected or inflamed pulp from the inside of the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and filling them to prevent further infection.
